Levels A1–B1 | Ages 6–15

During our Virtual Reality English Week, young learners at IH Belgrade explored the theme of sustainability by building a boat on a virtual island using only the materials available around them.

Working exclusively in English, students had to rely on teamwork and clear communication to guide one another through the virtual world.

VR in the classroom

The young learners were fascinated by the immersive island environment, eagerly identifying its natural features and engaging with the challenges it presented.

Many described it as a unique and unforgettable experience, with some even asking if they could do VR activities every class!

While we can’t use VR in every lesson, our students are already looking forward to the next adventure — exploring the Ice World during our upcoming VR Week on March 26.

One of the biggest challenges students faced was giving directions to teammates who couldn’t see what they could see.

This required patience, precision, and clear language — valuable communication skills they developed impressively throughout the activity.

Combining innovation & language learning

At IH Belgrade, we’re proud to combine innovation and language learning, helping students practice English in exciting, meaningful, and interactive ways.
